JCS Contractors & Co. was founded in Houston in 2005 by Joe Satchfield with a simple idea: one company that could inspect, repair and certify, and actually show up when it mattered.
From one truck to four continents.
What started as a three-person welding crew working out of a pickup truck is now a full-service offshore contractor with an onshore fabrication yard, dedicated subsea and rope-access divisions, and crews deployed from the Gulf of Mexico to the North Sea.
We've grown, but the way we work hasn't changed. Every job is led by people who have done the work themselves. Every repair is documented and certified. And every crew member goes home safe, with over 2.4 million man-hours and not a single lost-time incident.

Joe Satchfield has spent more than two decades specializing in one craft: the repair and maintenance of offshore oil and gas assets. He learned it where it matters most, on platforms and drilling rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, where every hour of downtime is felt by the whole operation.
In 2005 he founded JCS Contractors & Co. to build the crew he had always wanted to work beside. Two decades on, he still walks the jobs himself, from the first inspection to the final sign-off.
